Pyramid Residential Care Centre is a custom designed and built facility, offering 76 high care needs beds for residents. Located in Gordonvale, the centre is set amongst 7 acres of lush gardens and manicured lawns, providing each of the rooms and buildings with plenty of open space and fresh air. It’s a feeling of home away from home.
The buildings are designed for wheelchair access, as are the garden pathways. There are various outdoor spaces for the residents to enjoy, including two pergolas, shaded undercover seating, sunny courtyards and garden spaces.
Most of the centre’s interior is air conditioned for resident comfort. There are various buildings, connected by undercover pathways, containing numerous communal social spaces. These include dining areas, a television watching area and recreation hall. We provide our residents with access to a range of facilities. Pyramid Residential Care Centre is a high care facility. We also cater for residents with dementia. Registered nursing staff and care staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We provide residents with sole occupancy of a bed sitting room, with private en suite and courtyard. Each room has a wardrobe and single-bed with mattress, desk, chair, bedside table and reading lamps. The rooms are inclusive of linen, blankets, quilt and pillows, an easy chair, outside chair, phone socket and curtains. The bath / toilet areas have ceramic floor tiling, shower recess with special accessories, wash basin and toilet. Residents are encouraged to decorate their living space to suit their own personal taste, within reason. A nurse call button is installed in every room, en suite and all communal areas, with 24/7 response.
Pyramid Residential Care Centre provides daily and personal care to all residents, including residential aged care, palliative care, non-dedicated respite care and secure dementia care. We encourage residents to live as independently as possible and assist with daily and personal care as and when needed. This includes bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, room cleanliness, mobility around the centre, laundry and meal assistance.
We strive for continuous improvement in all areas of operation, with an underpinning commitment to always provide our residents with maximum quality of life, in a homelike environment. Our residents have a Charter of Rights and Responsibilities which they must adhere too. It forms part of the Residential Agreement and includes some of the below.
