Pyramid Residential Care Centre Registration & Performance
Pyramid Residential Care Centre is an approved provider under the Aged Care Act and is monitored by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. We participate in regular quality audits and reviews to ensure we continue to meet our responsibilities as an approved residential aged care provider. Our current registration is due for renewal in August 2027.
The Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards set out the expectations for the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred aged care. These Standards focus on the experience, dignity, safety and wellbeing of each resident.
The Strengthened Standards are expressed in three key ways:
- A statement of outcome for the consumer, quality review processes focus on consumer outcomes and evidence of the resident experience.
- A statement of expectation for the organisation, quality review processes consider the systems, processes and practices in place to support safe and quality care.
- Organisational requirements, guidance materials outline each requirement, reflective questions and examples of evidence that demonstrate how requirements are met.
There are seven Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards:
- Standard 1: The Individual. Recognising each resident as a person with rights, dignity, identity, culture, diversity and individual needs.
- Standard 2: The Organisation. Ensuring strong governance, accountability and systems that support safe, quality care and services.
- Standard 3: The Care and Services. Providing care and services that are planned, delivered and reviewed in partnership with residents.
- Standard 4: The Environment. Providing a safe, clean, comfortable and well-maintained environment that supports residents’ wellbeing.
- Standard 5: Clinical Care. Delivering safe, effective and appropriate clinical care that is tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Standard 6: Food and Nutrition. Supporting residents to receive food and drinks that are safe, nutritious, enjoyable and meet their preferences and needs.
- Standard 7: The Residential Community. Promoting a welcoming, inclusive and engaging community where residents feel connected, respected and supported.
